Journey Delacombe – A New Journey Centre In Ballarat
Journey Early Learning’s newest centre in Delacombe has officially opened! Journey Delacombe is in the heart of the Ballarat community and conveniently located across from the Delacombe Town Centre.
Journey Delacombe is a purpose-built centre, with incredible indoor and outdoor environments that provide an opportunity for children to explore, learn and discover.
Offering the highest quality of education and care, Journey Delacombe ensures that each child can enjoy the best start to their education, with programs being delivered by highly experienced and passionate educators.
Every child is provided with a variety of incursions and excursions with the goal to connect them with the local community, creating a sense of wellbeing and belonging.
The Kindergarten Room is run by a Bachelor Qualified Teacher, who runs an outstanding program. Looking into the future, Journey Delacombe will provide a School Readiness Program, which is designed to prepare Kinder children for their transition to school. Educators provide spaces where children can work collaboratively or by themselves and help them with the various social rules needed to work with others. These skills will be vital in their first year of school.
To celebrate the centre’s opening, Journey Delacombe hosted an Open Day, inviting all members of the community to join. To formally open the centre, Catherine King MP Member for Ballarat conducted an official “cutting of the red ribbon” ceremony.

The community was invited to attend, meet the team, and participate in the many activities on offer. From face painting, to live music, sports, a sausage sizzle, Wanda the Journey Truck, and of course delicious treats from the extraordinary Wholesome Child menu, families weren’t short of entertainment.
