Journey Early Learning Centre Riverhills is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity. We are especially proud of our loyal and longstanding educators. Some have been with us for over 10 years.
Journey Riverhills is the perfect space for little explorers who have a natural sense of curiosity and yearning for adventure. The centre is designed around play-based learning and is a veritable wonderland for your child, rocky paths, wooden bridge, multiple sand pits, playground, and our very own vegetable / fairy garden.
We love to connect with the Riverhills community and that’s why we have our very own community street library. Street Libraries are a wonderful home for books. They are accessible from the street and an invitation to share in the joy of reading with families and friends. They are a window into the mind of a community; books come and go; no-one needs to check them in or out. You simply reach in and take what interests you; when you are done, you can return them to the Street Library network, or pass them on to friends. Always looking at the journey ahead, we also run a school readiness program with Middle Park State School.
From peek-a-boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.
School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.
In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program.
Did you know that your child can attend Journey from 6 weeks to their first day of school?
We’ve designed a helpful Child Care Subsidy calculator so you can discover more about your government entitlements. Need help? We’re here to chat, just book an appointment below.
Hi Riverhills families,
My name is Kerryn, and I am delighted to be joining Journey Early Learning Riverhills as your new Centre Manager. With over 10 years’ experience in the early childhood sector, I bring a strong passion for supporting children, families and educators to thrive together in a nurturing and inspiring environment.
As a proud parent to twin boys, I understand firsthand the trust families place in their early learning community. This perspective has deepened my commitment to creating a centre where every child feels safe, valued and supported, and where families feel confident and connected.
I believe in building genuine relationships, fostering open communication and working collaboratively with our educators to create meaningful learning experiences for every child. Children are at the heart of what we do, and I am excited to continue strengthening the warm, welcoming culture that makes Riverhills so special.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing AFL and am a devoted Geelong Cats supporter — so you may hear a little football chat around the centre from time to time!
I am incredibly excited to join the Riverhills family and look forward to continuing the wonderful work of this dedicated team alongside you.
We can’t wait to welcome you into our community.
