Journey Early Learning Centre Lara is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity.
Inspiring Happy Children
Journey Lara is a warm and friendly early learning centre that inspires adventure and cheer. The centre is created around your little explorer and play-based learning. That means getting messy, digging in the dirt and playing in amongst the gardens. Our play spaces inspire children to work together with their friends to conquer milestones with confidence.
Preparation for school
From peek-a-boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.
School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.
In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program.

Hi, my name is Krystal, the Centre Manager of Journey Early Learning Lara.
After completing my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, I was lucky enough to have been offered a scholarship for my Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management. I successfully completed this in 2021.
I have had many roles in my career from Centre Cook, Room Assistant, Room Leader, Educational Leader, 3IC, Assistant Manager, and now, Centre Manager. Each role has helped me grow into the educator I am today.
The early years of a child’s life are incredibly important, and this is what has driven my passion in the Early Childhood sector.
I’m passionate about providing our families with high-quality care and I can’t wait to build beautiful relationships with you all. I believe it’s important to provide an environment where children can grow, explore and investigate and where our families see our service as their second home.
Family is important to me, I have been blessed with three beautiful children. There is nothing better than spending time with the ones you love and creating memories.

Exploring nature-based play
Children love getting out and exploring in nature. It really is the greatest teacher. Nature based play is a core part of our curriculum. That’s because it teaches them vital life skills including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
