Journey Early Learning Centre Corinda is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity.

This newly built centre features transitional indoor and outdoor play areas, perfect for play-based learning. The environment is filled with natural resources which inspire our little adventurers and teach them fundamental motor skills, under the watchful eye of our educators. The outdoor area has to be seen to be believed. It features alfresco dining, a water play area, sports field, sandpits, multi-level fort, rock climbing wall, a bike track and more. The nursery explorers have access to their own outdoor area with plenty of sensory experiences to engage their curious minds and encourage positive growth.

Journey Early Learning is a vital part of the Corinda community, and as such we love to head out on regular expeditions to places like the local library and the nearby park. We also love to have visitors. That’s why we invite families in for a monthly family breakfast inspired by Wholesome Child and whipped up by our fabulous cook.

From peek-a-boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.

School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.

In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program.

“All staff are so warm and caring. Very welcoming! Facilities are great. Nice and clean. And my daughter loves it, which is the main thing!”

Katrina

Hi, my name is Tash and I am the Centre Manager of Journey Corinda. I have been a part of the Journey family for a long time, having managed the Journey Indooroopilly centre as well as Journey Alphington in Victoria.

I’m a very proud mother of two beautiful children, Fox and Frankie.

My nurturing and caring nature helped lead me to Early Education, completing my Degree in 2009.

I am passionate about developing strong partnerships with families, the local community, and a team of dedicated educators as I believe it takes a village to raise a child. The happiness and excitement on each child’s face as they achieve something new or overcome a challenge brings me so much pleasure.

Exploring nature-based play

Children love getting out and exploring in nature. It really is the greatest teacher. Nature based play is a core part of our curriculum. That’s because it teaches them vital life skills including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
