The 21st of October marked a special day for Journey Early Learning as we hosted our Open Day at the brand-new purpose-built Journey Bacchus Marsh Centre. The community came together to make this day truly remarkable, and the excitement only grew as we officially opened our doors on the 30th of October. It was an event filled with joy, laughter and a whole lot of fun!
Community Engagement
We felt the warmth and enthusiasm of the community from the moment the doors opened. Parents, children, and residents of Bacchus Marsh gathered to celebrate this milestone, and the turnout was truly heart-warming. The sense of community spirit was infectious, and everyone was eager to explore our state-of-the-art early learning centre.
Every Detail Tailored to the Dreams of Our Little Explorers
Our Open Day was a celebration of fun and learning for the whole family. The activities and experiences we offered were diverse and engaging, ensuring that every attendee had an unforgettable day. Children’s faces lit up as our talented face painter, Claire, turned them into their favourite characters and creatures. The sound of laughter echoed through the air as the children bounced and played on the jumping castle. Our friends from Little Sports Heroes attended and our little athletes-in-the-making had a blast learning new sports skills and staying active while bubbles filled the air, creating a magical atmosphere that delighted both young and old.
Our Emergent Curriculum Approach
Journey’s emergent curriculum allows educators to support children as they learn, grow, and explore authentically. At our Open Day, we provided hands-on learning experiences that allowed children to explore and understand the wonders of nature and the world of colours. The parents didn’t miss out on the fun either, with a coffee van providing a much-needed caffeine boost.
