Journey Early Learning Centre Whittlesea is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity.
Journey Whittlesea is a warm and homely early learning centre that inspires adventure and joy. The centre is designed around your little explorer and play-based learning. We have a recently renovated outdoor play space with a large sandpit, fort and a bike track that wraps all the way around it. We also have native gardens, rock beds, wooden bridges and a brand new edible garden maintained by our little explorers and educators. We even have an undercover stage where we run our mindfulness yoga Mondays. We can often be seen venturing out and about, connecting with a variety of local community services and exploring our natural environment through Bush Kinder.
We feel it’s important to inspire our little adventurers and prepare them for school, so we run a school readiness program with St Mary’s, a local school here in Whittlesea. We also run a sustainability project with St Mary’s, who assist us with the planting and growing of our own gardens. Our centre is proud to be part of the Whittlesea community and participates regularly in local fetes and markets.
We’ve designed a helpful Child Care Subsidy calculator so you can discover more about your government entitlements. Need help? We’re here to chat, just book an appointment below.
“The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. They always make you feel welcome walking into any of their rooms and you know that your children are in the best of hands. Storypark always helps to keep you updated with your children’s daily activities and it’s so nice to have these updates.”

Exploring nature-based play
Children love getting out and exploring in nature. It really is the greatest teacher. Nature based play is a core part of our curriculum. That’s because it teaches them vital life skills including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
