Journey Early Learning Centre Indooroopilly is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity. Our learning centre is conveniently located close to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, just off Moggill Road in Rylatt Street. Originally a church, our facility is unique, and custom-built to ensure the best outcomes for your children.
Journey Indooroopilly isn’t just a place for children, but adults too! Before you start your day, stay for a chat, enjoy a barista made coffee and freshly baked treats.
We would love to show you around the centre. Please contact us today to arrange a tour.
Creating magical experiences
Indooroopilly is a purpose built facility designed around play-based learning. Our facilities include a water play area, mud kitchens and plenty of opportunities for motoric development, creative play, and countless other play options – under the watchful eye of our educators of course. All of this encourages our little adventurers to get involved and get their hands dirty. We never rest on our laurels though, and love to experiment with the different ways we can utilise our natural resources to create even more magical learning experiences.
Exploring our community
It’s important that our little explorers feel connected to Indooroopilly, so that’s why we run a weekly community program. The children love getting out to visit their friends at the local aged care facility, surrounding schools and local library. We also get local businesses to visit the children. Our local dentist pops in regularly for checkups and to educate the children on dental hygiene.
Preparation for school
From peek-a-boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.
School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.
In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Kindergarten classroom is intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program.
Did you know that your child can attend Journey from 6 weeks to their first day of school?
Child Care Subsidy Calculator
We’ve designed a helpful Child Care Subsidy calculator so you can discover more about your government entitlements. Need help? We’re here to chat, just book an appointment below.
Hi, I’m Michelle. I am the Centre Manager at Journey Indooroopilly.
I have been a part of the Journey family and sector for over three years.
I am inspired by my own children and the children that I am privileged to work with every day. I have always wanted to make a difference in the lives of children and create a better, more understanding world for them, especially those with additional needs and those who come from troubled backgrounds.
Outside of the centre, I love to pack up the car and caravan, put away my phone and find a secluded spot to hide away and spend quality, uninterrupted time with my family.
I look forward to seeing you in the centre!

Exploring nature-based play
Children love getting out and exploring in nature. It really is the greatest teacher. Nature based play is a core part of our curriculum. That’s because it teaches them vital life skills including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
