Journey Early Learning Bendigo South is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity. Journey Bendigo South is purpose-built and is located in Kangaroo Flat.
Journey Early Learning Bendigo South is a warm and welcoming centre where our little explorers feel right at home. With many shared values, the transition to Journey was seamless, with many of the educators continuing on with us. Journey Bendigo South is the ideal place for little adventurers who have a natural sense of curiosity. Our rooms open out onto the playground, which encourages indoor and outdoor play. Our large, centrally located kitchen is not only good for wholesome food preparation, it also encourages interaction with families and children as they come and go. Who wouldn’t love that?
Bendigo South is a tight-knit centre with most families engaging in the frequent social activities that the centre organises. Whether it’s a fundraising event, or celebrating special occasions, all our families love to get together and create amazing memories.
From peek-a-boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.
School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.
In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program.
Did you know that your child can attend Journey from 6 weeks to their first day of school?

Hi, my name is Kirsty, I am the centre manager of Journey Early Learning Bendigo South.
I have been part of the journey team since 2020, I have been involved in a range of roles such as educator, team leader, and educational leader since 2015. I hold my diploma in early childhood, I am very passionate about creating environments where children and families feel safe, secure and supported, ensuring children have the best environments and relationships with their educators to explore, grow, learn and further develop all aspects of their developmental growth.
We take pride in supporting families and children throughout their journey with us, working collaboratively with families to ensure the children’s learning and development are being supported and extended to give them the best start in their early years.
I have two beautiful girls of my own, in my spare time I enjoy being outdoors in the garden, exploring different places and going camping with my family.
I look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful centre and starting your children’s journey together.

Exploring nature-based play

Children love getting out and exploring in nature. It really is the greatest teacher. Nature based play is a core part of our curriculum. That’s because it teaches them vital life skills including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
