Journey Early Learning Banyo is where your child’s journey begins. We provide a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, wonder and joy. It’s a place where children aged from six weeks to six years of age can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity.
Journey Banyo is a modern centre with landscaped native gardens. It’s the perfect space for little explorers who have a natural sense of curiosity and yearning for adventure. Our rooms open out onto the playground, encouraging indoor and outdoor play time. Our children love the alfresco style eating area with picnic style benches, which allows every meal to be enjoyed on the patio, under the fans. We also have an outdoor, undercover space which is perfect for arts and crafts. Some of the activities include slime making, hand painting and sensory play. Our children are encouraged to get messy, dig in the dirt and play amongst the gardens. What little explorer wouldn’t love that?
We love to connect with our local Banyo community and that’s why we undertake regular field expeditions. We visit Earnshaw State College for Fitness Fridays and enjoy regular swimming lessons in Summer. We also take our children to the local library on a fortnightly basis, so they can take part in the learning and development programs. We also offer various sports and music activities for children of all ages, including Billy’s Buddies and Music Beat. These programs really help with things like motor skills, confidence and building strong friendships.
From peek-a-boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.
School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.
In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Kindergarten classrooms are intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Journey Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Classrooms are run by ACCEQA approved Early Childhood Teachers and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4-Year-Old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program.
Did you know that your child can attend Journey from 6 weeks to their first day of school?

“We’ve been so happy with Jack’s care since starting in April. The variety of activities and services on offer besides just childcare is fantastic. His teachers are so invested in him and any of our requests have been listened to and taken on board without any problems. He loves going to daycare and it’s a pleasure knowing he is so well looked after. Thank you so much.”
Welcome to Journey Early Learning Banyo! My name is Hazel, and I hail from the beautiful Isle of Ireland but have been lucky enough to call Australia home for the last seven years. Being with children is in my blood – I am one of eight children with 12 nieces and nephews!
I have worked with children across different settings for 18 years, however my passion lies in the Early Education sector. I believe that childhood is a time for children to be, to seek and to make meaning of the world around them. I endeavour to create an atmosphere where children and families are respected and have a sense of belonging. I am committed to respecting the rights of each and every child and encouraging a sense of agency.
I truly believe that being a part of a child’s early education journey is a pleasure and a privilege, and I look forward to sharing in this exciting journey with you and your family at Journey Banyo.

Exploring nature-based play
Children love getting out and exploring in nature. It really is the greatest teacher. Nature based play is a core part of our curriculum. That’s because it teaches them vital life skills including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.
