Our New Journey Centre Dakabin – Where You Feel At Home Right Away.

If you’re looking for a warm and welcoming environment where your child can learn, play, and grow, visit our new Journey Early Learning Centre in Dakabin. This centre is a haven for children, with a team of passionate and dedicated educators committed to providing the best possible start in life for every child in their care.

Come in and feel at home

As soon as you walk through the doors, you’ll be struck by the inviting atmosphere. The purpose-built centre is clearly designed with children in mind.

The only thing that beats this fantastic first impression is Sue’s smile when she gives you a warm welcome. Sue is the Centre Manager at Dakabin, and when she starts to talk about the centre, you can immediately feel that what they do here is a matter of heart for her.

In addition to this, Sue has a lot of experience, also as Educator and Centre Manager at Journey – most recently at Journey Indooroopilly, which she could leave in good hands. Her standards are high: everything must be perfect for the children and their families and her team.

Sue, Centre Manager with heart and soul and lots of ideas

In other words, sometimes it seems like Sue can be in two places at once because she is everywhere and gives everything. One minute she had just shown interested parents the centre and all its possibilities, and the next minute, you can see her working with full enthusiasm on future programs for the centre. It seems all this wonder woman is missing is her cape.

With pride and drive, she talks about what they have already achieved here and the upcoming exciting plans for the children and families.
“Filling such a wonderful centre with life is a great task. But the most important thing for our centre, now that we have arrived, is to network with the community. It’s so important for us to give the children a sense of belonging. Personally, I am a strong believer in giving something back by getting involved in projects.”

A centre is only a centre when the children are there, says Sue, and there is already a lot of life and joy to be felt.  And the reason is apparent:  The rooms are a dream – wonderfully equipped, and there is something to discover everywhere.
These days, when it is a bit cooler, the children are outside a lot. There you will find everything a child’s heart could wish for. From sand pits to climbing possibilities, gently rolling hills, great for conquering on a tricycle, water playgrounds and even a mini soccer field.

The kitchen is always the heart of a centre

Indeed, as in every house, the kitchen is the centre of Journey; Dakabin’s kitchen is open to both the inside and the outside. As a result, the children can eat outside and talk to Chef Neha, another member of the Journey Dakabin family.

Neha is a mother of a toddler herself and knows the challenge of introducing healthy food to the little gourmets – and she achieves it with flying colours.

Besides her love for cooking and passion for healthy eating, part of her secret is Future Foodies – Journey’s exclusive holistic food program. Neha prepares these meals with care and attention, and the children are encouraged to get involved in the preparation process. This helps to foster a love of food and healthy eating habits from an early age.

Chef Neha’s food is just the best!

Dakabins fabulous educators and teachers

Ultimately what would a Journey Centre be without its fabulous educators and teachers? Therefore, to get to know everyone even better, we will introduce everyone on our Facebook page in the coming weeks.
But we can already reveal this: Each team member brings their unique skills and experiences to the table.

And without any doubt, they all share a deep passion for teaching and nurturing children. They all take the time to get to know each child as an individual. Accordingly, tailoring their approach for each individual child to meet the needs and helping them to reach their full potential.

One gets the impression that the good atmosphere in the centre is positively contagious. We leave the centre with a smile after this visit. And even more, than that, you almost wish you could be a child again yourself and stay there all day.  (And just as a side note: For all those who really want to stay the whole day, it is a good idea to have a look at our current job advertisements.

In the meantime, we know that all this sounds almost too good to be true. That’s why we would like to invite you to come and see for yourself. Sue and her team are looking forward to meeting you.
